The Image Properties dialog allows you to specify the various properties of an image. This dialog can be invoked from different places wherever an image can be inserted or specified (i.e. Rich Text Editor, Image Element, Image field type, etc).
The properties include:
Image - The path to the image to be displayed. To upload a new image click the New... button which will invoke the Upload New Image dialog. To select and existing image click the Choose... button which will invoke the Choose Image dialog.
Rollover Image - The path to a second image that will be displayed when the user hovers over the primary image.
Size & Border - Various properties to control the images size, spacing around the image and its border.
Image Caption Alignment - Properties to determine if and how a caption is rendered. When specifying an image from an image element or image field type, there are four possible options:
- No caption
- Left aligned
- Center aligned
- Right aligned
However, when specifying an image from a Formatted Text Block there are three additional option:
- Inline Styles
- Inline Top - Top of the image is aligned with the top of the text area
- Inline Text Top - Top of the image is aligned with the top of the text
- Inline Middle - Middle of the image is aligned with the middle of the line of text
- Inline Baseline - Bottom of the image is aligned with the baseline of the text
- Inline Bottom - Bottom of the image is aligned with the bottom of the text area
- Wrap Text Styles
- These are with the CSS float property.
- Float Left or Float Right
- Break Text Styles
- Break Text: Left Aligned Image - The image is aligned to the left, with text appearing below it.
- Break Text: Center Aligned Image - The image is centered horizontally, with text breaking below it.
- Break Text: Right Aligned Image - The image is aligned to the right, with text appearing below it.
Image Alt Text - The text that describes what the image depicts. Important for accessibility and SEO.
Image Flyover (Title) Text -The text that is displayed when the hovers of the image.
Image Caption Text - caption of the image. This field is hidden if the Image Caption Alignment is set to No Caption.
Link - The link properties of the image.
