This past fiscal year, HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, advanced both through continuity and change: sustaining fiscal discipline, celebrating student achievements and laying the groundwork for future growth even amid transitions. HACC entered fiscal year 2024-25 with momentum earned through stewardship, innovation and community impact.

Message from HACC's President and CEO

"Momentum and Renewal" truly captures the spirit of our collective work over the past year – advancing student success, strengthening our financial resiliency and moving forward with bold strategic initiatives, all while renewing our commitment to access, equity and opportunity for every learner across Central Pennsylvania. The challenges before us are real, but the strong foundation we have built together gives us confidence and clarity for the road ahead.

As we present our annual report, we extend our deepest gratitude to you, our HACC community. Your trust, advocacy and belief in the mission of HACC continue to serve as the driving forces behind our progress and renewal.

John J. 'Ski' Sygielski

This year has been marked by growth, resilience and innovation. Together, we confronted uncertainty with collaboration; turned challenges into opportunities; and celebrated meaningful achievements that continue to position HACC as a leader in workforce development, higher education and community impact. None of these would have been possible without your support, your passion and your unwavering commitment to our mission.

Within this report, you will find more than statistics and summaries. You will find the stories, progress and measurable impact that reflect the dedication of our employees and the strength of our partnerships. Most importantly, you will see the lives changed and the students who are building new futures for themselves, their families and their communities.

Thank you for believing in us, standing beside us and embracing the journey ahead. With your continued support, we will build upon our momentum, honor our renewed commitments and create lasting value for generations of students to come. TOGETHER, we are shaping not only the future of HACC but the future of Central Pennsylvania.

- President and CEO John J. "Ski" Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D.

HACC Debuts New Website Design

HACC Foundation donors provided funding for HACC website testing and redesign.

HACC conducted extensive user testing to create three new HACC website designs with enhanced navigational features. The new structure includes landing pages that act as gateways to the main sections of content, creating a more intuitive pathway to locate resources. The design is fresh and visually appealing, and the new information architecture arranges website content to better serve future and current students.

One of HACC’s greatest marketing tools — www.hacc.edu — has never before had such extensive user testing or evaluation. External vendor contracting was also instrumental in alleviating the unconscious bias that may occur during in-house testing.

This project will affect future and current HACC students for many years to come, as the new home page and website layout were created specifically with future and current students in mind. The rewards of this project will be felt for many years to come.
